Unified monitoring, control and communication
In a control room with workstations for monitoring multiple systems, by unifying status and alerts from all of the systems into a single platform, Situator significantly improves the efficiency and speed of collecting the information needed to form a complete situation picture. The Situator Control Room application presents real-time updated status, alerts and information about all connected devices and systems in an organized and easy-to-understand multi-layered GIS display. Using any number of background images including maps, photos and floor plans, or an optional 3D GIS tool, you can monitor all systems and people, objects and vehicles equipped with location tracking devices, view plume analysis data and pop-up CCTV video.

Although all alerts and activity for all connected devices and systems are logged for debriefing and analysis purposes, only the information specified as relevant by your pre-defined rules is displayed. In fact, a specific type of incident or a specific incident location can cause an appropriate map or view to appear. You can also filter layers of information so that you can focus on one type of data, or monitor a complex picture of multiple situations as they unfold.

Whether connected devices and systems are all in a single site or distributed in a structure hierarchy over the Internet, Situator enables unified monitoring and control from one centralized, global control room or from regional sites. In the GIS map view a single mouse click brings you detailed status information about any object in the display, including personnel details and task status. Another click and you can activate sensors or groups of sensors, move cameras, open and close access points and perform any other device control activity. When viewing live and recorded CCTV video you can also use Situator's adjustable video matrix display and multi-camera virtual tours.

Situator also connects to communication systems including radio, telephone, SMS, fax, email and other LAN-based systems. This enables on‑demand and automatically triggered delivery of notifications and instructions including voice (with recorded audio or text-to-speech), text, forms, audio, images and streaming video with PDAs and other mobile devices. PDAs and mobile phones can also be used for interactive communication, procedure activation and task assignment.
